Ruger M77 MkII Target

#1 Post by carlsenior »

Just picked up a lovely Ruger M77 MkII Target in .308 Laminate Stock target silver action, barrel & scope rings with a custom trigger job, are there any issues or quirks I need to know about before I use it this weekend ? always handy to know in advance :good:

I brought one in 223 for my wife to shoot out to 600 yards a couple of years back and love it. Quality is superb, action is really smooth, trigger is good and it is a real tack-driver. Have had no issues with it at all and it cleans up really easily. Ruger seem to have got rid of their hit and miss accuracy issues since they now source all their barrels from the same place.
Hope you enjoy it

I too had one years ago. One of the first MkII's with a blue action and stainless barrel, in .243. I would not hesitate in having another.
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Hi,
I've got one. It's a very fine rifle, solid, good recoil. 600 yards is nothing for it so I'm looking forward to trying 1000 yards.

I got it second (or more) hand.

Regards,
