No doubt people on here know all about Camp Perry, however the above link is interesting reading and the page itself has some interesting links as well.
I have been trying to find some information about the long distance shooting competition that normally takes place there but I cannot seem to find any 2011 information?
Found it!
I am fairly sure it was an American female soldier who won it last year?
I read about it somewhere online, lost the link of course.

The girl us Sheri Gallagher, last meember of the Tompking-Gallagher family. All great shooters and instructors and very nice people. Meeting Nancy, Michelle and Sheri's mother is a great moment.
Sheri won the XTC Championships, and John whidden won the National Fullbore for his third tme.
Camp Perry is a base f the Ohio National Gurad and NRA National Matches are held there every year. All disciplines, smallbore, pistol, XTC, fullbore and Palma. This last about a month...
Woderful place, camp and ranges, on the shores of lake Erie, not far from Toledo, OH.
Worth a visit in July-August during the Nationals, a long visit to Commercial Row being 'de rigueur"...

R.G.C,
Thank you! You have excelled again
That is exactly her.
I googled her name and found the article I read last year about her, I did save it in my bookmarks back then but have since reformatted my hard drive so lost it.
Anyway, I found the article really good, not just because it is about her but also how the journalist writes about the shooting world.

A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools!!

Great article and a fantastic read. This quote was a little depressing;
That's me out of the running then! :lol:"I've never met a successful long-range shooter who wasn't very intelligent in either a very analytical way or an OCD-savant kind of way," said Praslick
“The standard you walk past is the standard you accept.”

Emil shot on my Ages match team a few years back. He flew over for a long weekend, borrowed a rifle, and held his own against some of the best the UK has to offer; a very impressive performance (and doubtless he took some useful intelligence on how British teams are run back to the US Palma team)."I've never met a successful long-range shooter who wasn't very intelligent in either a very analytical way or an OCD-savant kind of way," said Praslick
