NRASC guest day 16th Nov.

#1 Post by paulbradley »

I took my partner as a guest today. She was very anxious on the way there as she felt it might be a little testosterone heavy at the range. She ended up having a fantastic afternoon and is grinning still. The range officers were friendly and welcoming and a real pleasure to talk to. Nicky shot a 2" group with my .308 and similar with the AR. She is a real natural. She now wants to go for a probationary course and join the NRA. hurrah! Unlike most guys I know I love sharing my passions with my partner and spending more time together. The sport desperately needs more young ladies signing up. It will help a good deal to fight against the media driven stereotype of "loner males with guns". Massive thanks to NRASC and the super ROs. Doths cap.

I havent really looked ta the NRASC yet, joined the NRA recently so that gives me access to other types of shooting than my club tends to do.

It is free to join. They have a variety of firearms for hire (£5 half a day, very reasonable) or you can take your own. The ROs and other shooters are happy to give advice and encouragement. The range fees are £20 for a half day. It is well worth going along too. Contact the NRA for details and they will email you about upcoming days and how to book.
