According to Mr's Stuck I've been a good boy this year & as such can buy myself a new money pit for shooting beyond the 1000 yards i currently have at Diggle.
As i have a .338 slot on my ticket I've been & had a look at a Barrett 98B but cant say i was overly impressed with the build quality (for the price).
Does anyone here have an informed opinion of the AI AX?
I haven't seen one in the flesh as it were & certainly haven't fired one so would love to hear your opinions.
Thanks & all the best for New Year.

Stuck,
If it's a genuine AX rather than an action in an AICS then I'd say you won't be disappointed.
Bearing in mind it's a natural progression from the AW, which is used to very good effect in sandy places.
We had a try of some new body kits that would convert our L115's to a pistol grip stock a la AX type. The snipers loved them, the budget guys, not so much....
I was lucky enough to visit the factory to have a wander round, seeing them made I'd say you won't be disappointed in build quality, and seeing them shoot I don't think you'll regret it.

Cheers Gundoc,
Yes it's a proper AX, not a Remmy in a party frock.

On guntrader there is a Savage in 338 that has just been listed.
I know its not an AX but may be a good alternative.
