AR 15 moderator

Ok so i got my variation through the other day for a .223 moderator , so anyone know of a good one preferably one that goes back behind the end of the barrel and into the hand guard

Depends on the size of your handguard. The Hardy from rifle craft is nice and light, I have two, one for an AR and one for a 6XC.

im guessing its a standard size , if there is such a thing . if i knew where my calipers were i would measure the ID but i rekon it will fit

There is no standard size.

hmm i guess its a standard end of barrel mod then , i havenet seen any that are under about 44 mill .... maybe il get some adaptors and see about getting my predator 8 on there :)

I use a compact Predator 8 on my 300aac Handi rifle, measuring it against my S&W 15-22 it's a good fit with only a small gap between the mod and the forend. The S&W has a 16" barrel with a 10" forend.

Hardy mod goes back over the barrel but would not go under the handguard.

Between ovenpaa and one less charlie you should be able yo get a bespoke mod made.

I have one as you describe on my 9mm and another coming for my 6.5x47. Both reasonably priced considering the cost of off the shelf makes.
