I would give an AR/M16 or an AK space in a heart beat wood or plastic if they were in their original configuration as they are indeed classic rifles that have proven the designs in anger.

However neutered into single shot straight pulls they hold no interest for me.

If I want to shoot a straight pull then my Rosses do me just fine.

Haven't got a clue, I saw the picture on another forum (exclusively for cast boolits) and thought it worthy of a post. And yes, it still is in its original configuration as far as I know

Wooden furniture can bought at a few places such as Brownells and Boyds gun stocks.

Not really mate if you consider that some of the first AR rifles had wood furniture on them. To some the plastic may be considered an abomination, just saying.

I know, I'm pretty sure I've seen some Armalites with wood, but it's just not for me. I like AR15's/M16's fitted with furniture made of 150 million year old compressed plankton. It looks better IMO.
