Does .50 mean .50?

Ok, I've had a reply to my wanted ad for a .50 muzzle loader.
Then mentioned muskettooooonnnn is .577.

Will I require a £26 variation? or are the rules slightly different for muzzle loaders?

Don't know about muzzle loaders but a "one for one" (where you want to either retain a slot after selling or want to change the calibre of an empty slot) does not usually attract a fee in my neck of the woods.
