AR15 muzzle cleaning
After a day at the range, I was doing a thorough clean on my AR15 S.P rifle, I noticed that between the crown of the barrel and the flash suppressor it is hard to clean! Effectively the end of the barrel collects the usual filth from firing a rifle, any ideas on how to get in there to clean the top end of the barrel?
Re: AR15 muzzle cleaning
I just remove the muzzle brake and clean the crown. I should probably install a new crush washer each time, but so far the brake hasn't come undone while I'm shooting.

Re: AR15 muzzle cleaning
Nope adjustable will do its really stubborn but spray with frog lube or c2r then go and watch tele for half hour then repeat wipe in between and use your nail on any stubborn bits.
Re: AR15 muzzle cleaning
Don't bother cleaning it, its will still shoot fine. More damage is done to rifle crowns cleaning them than shooting and leaving them dirty.

Not disagreeing with what has been said Butt...
When I had my 10/22 I had a pepper pot muzzle break which I did not clean for some time. When I did eventually clean it I was suprisid to see how much damage had been done by corrosion. Either the heat or powder had caused the damage.
