My son is looking to buy one - we're going to have a look-see and possibly buy on Monday/Tuesday of next week.

Cracking little guns - he plans to use it for all of the purposes you mention.

read a few reviews and they say the tactical feels a bit light for the trigger it is adjustable but only down to about 3.5 pounds

I can't comment on that at present.

Don't you mean synthetic rather than tactical?

A friend has an older model T-Bolt and he finds accuracy O.K. but not great. Good enough for the odd rabbit but certainly not a target rifle by any stretch. I've also seen one in .17hmr that the owner claimed was O.K. but as he wasn't overly thrilled with that chambering due to ammo problems he was thinking of changing it for a centrefire .17 or .22.

Are you talking about a T Bolt?
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Yes the T-Bolt.

Just to avoid confusion Sim when I mentioned changing the rifle for a centrefire obviously that wouldn't be a T-Bolt as these rifles are only made as rimfires. Simo should really have put his opening question in another section as this one is for full bore rifles.

I have a .22, used it for targets, shoots well, use it for rabbits very good, just ordered another one in 17HMR heavy barrel varmint.

Both wood not plastic, love them. triggers are OK and do what they are supposed to do, when an aftermarket trigger is available I will give one a try.

The .22 does not like Winchester sub sonic hollow point and does not eject very well, however Eley, no problem at all.

17HMR tried one and the groups with Remington ammo, (on a Bi pod) 0.5" at 50 yards.

Great rifle at the price.
