Which .223 Bolt action
Following on from my AI thread, Since an AI AE is not available in .223, I am considering PXing the Steyr Aug for a .223 bolt action, now the question which one?
I don't want a Remi 700 ACIS (nothing against those who own then, just not for me), so is it a Tikka T3 tactical / Steyr Mannlicher Scout or Elite or something else?
I enjoy shooting .223, its cheapish and at 200m (range where I shoot) it is more than enough. Doesn't stop the AI AT aspiration (but that's for another time).
Don't want a wood stock (sacrilege to some on here I know), so over to those with much more experience than myself - what would you recommend?

You mean the same force where a PC gave someone a verbal warning that they were failing to display a valid tax disc on their car & would be ticketed if they didn't rectify the error immediately (on Oct 1st, 2014)?joe wrote:Then Durham are idiots !phaedra1106 wrote:Durham firearms department think it is, no such thing as a "straight pull" action !!saddler wrote:Seems that some folk think a straight pull is the same as a bolt action
The same force that had serving officers selling firearms from police stations?
That Durham??
A bit harsh! I think they're smashing....

I don't think they are idiots at all.
As their agenda seems to be to reduce the number of FAC holders in Durham, their approach seems to be working.
So maybe cleverer than people give them credit for.

You didn't mention price range, but how about a Mossberg MVP?
It's a laminate stock, so not really traditional wood.
