SGC 9LR Prices

#1 Post by HALODIN »

I've always considering the next rifle and I think I want a SGC 9LR, but I was told they retailed for £1,600 earlier on in the year, but I'm slightly dismayed at seeing they're just shy of £2k on the SGC website... Have prices gone up or was I misquoted earlier in the year?

Also what's the best length barrel for a 9mm LR? My choice is 12.5" - 16" (1:10). The 12.5 fluted with a brake under a 12" rail looks particularly nice... :)

Cheers,

Craig.

Even taking all of the nice stuff off it, I can only get it down to £1,834.27

No one else has anything close.... Considering my own experience with Mr Clarke, I'm surprised they are that "cheap"....
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?

Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

They were cheaper though... at least I was told they were.

Yeah I'm sure this time last year they were around 1600 with no frills as a couple of people at my club got them, another went a bit overboard and ticked a few options boxes and it cost over 2k. The 12.8" picatinny hand rail can add over £300 to the cost compared with standard short hand rail

Maybe they've gone up due to the MARS VZ58 not being available in 9mm yet and when they will be they will be 2k plus probably.

I thought they'd come down because of the MARS. If only they did an AR15 MARS, the waiting list would be as long as my arm...

£1436 without any furniture. You can add the furniture for £135 (CTR buttstock, MOE grip, buffer tube kit) from a retailers with stock in the UK.

Which comes out to £1571 with the crappy SGC freefloat carbine handguard (you can add a sexy carbon fibre hand guard for £95). No magazines included in that price. But that was the 12" fluted barrel with brake.

There's your £1600 rifle :)

I think the .223 came down from £5k to £3.5k

There's an idea... I would say at £1,600 they're priced to sell, it certainly got me interested, but at £2k I start to lose interest.

I'll see what I can price one up for over the weekend. Incidentally, what's wrong with his rails?

Yeh, I kinda thought it applied to the 9LR as well.
