SGC 9mm lever release trigger upgrades

#1 Post by pir »

I'd like to put a better trigger in my SGC 9mm lever release (I have the SGC "match" trigger, but it's awful) but the release mechanism apparently gets in the way of many triggers.

What triggers are known to fit? Preferably two stage. Ideally I'd like a Geissele to match my .223 AR.

It is my understanding that you would have to send the rifle back to SGC for any trigger replacement.

That's what they say, yes, but that's beside the point of my question as to what will fit in it.

As you have a Geissele trigger in your 223, take it out and try it in your 9mmLR and see if it fits.
If not then ask Bob to find a replacement.
Arming the Country, one gun at a time.

Good deals with Paul101, Charlotte the flyer, majordisorder, Charlie Muggins, among others. Thanks everybody.

Presumably there are people who have had triggers changed by Bob and know the name of the trigger that was put in?
Presumably there are people who have ignored what they were supposed to do and had triggers changed by other people?

Before talking to Bob I want information.

I'm not going to remove the lever release mechanism to try if something will fit. That would void my warranty and I'd likely not get it back together again.

It's a pretty simple question: what triggers are known to fit? If you have nothing that directly answers that question then it isn't useful.

I'm not trying to be awkward here, but IF the lever-release mechanism IS as complex as Bob indicates, and needs his specialist knowledge to install and tune correctly.... and DIY removal voids the rifles warrantee, do you honestly expect people to know what fits without having spoken to Bob?

I have have spoken to Bob several times and he has been approachable and easy to talk to, so why not phone him and ASK what options might fit?

and as I've said, if you can't answer the question I'm asking then you're not giving me any useful information. This is a waste of your time and my time.

I've spoken to Bob before. I want information before speaking to him again.
