Yes, amusing but did you read the comments...

People with guns shoot people, people without guns can't
, try doing it with a banana!"

????? Er, the complete tone is GUN OWNERS ARE ALL POTENTIAL SPREE KILLERS - so I fail to see any humour in it!

One of the article replies, from a GP, sums it up nicely;

Shipman or Mengele, I don't trust ANY Doctor to act beyond their own vested interests -; and that's for the ones that aren't alcoholics or self-prescribing drugs from controlled stocks.

GP's kill more of the public than they care to make known, through misdiagnosis & botched prescriptions.
And don't get me started on the death toll in hospitals through acquired infections & the like!

Is the comment at the end by a Doctor do you think? ...........people with guns shoot people??? I know lots of people with guns who dont shoot anyone so he must be wrong and therefore by default this must cast doubt on his ability to make a medical decision relating to the health of a third party patient......M'ludd

My response to the doctors comments in the report the post

"Typical stereotype comment, I am a responsible shooter and have been for over 50 years this is the type if biased ignorant comment that the shooting community has come to expect.
Do we stereotype ALL Doctors as being like Harold Shipman with an estimated kill total of over 250 people no we do not, maybe we should."

Thanks for that.

Doctor and shooter here.

Probably helped more people than I've harmed but you never know....

Anyway - you can always use homeopathy and reflexology instead of doctors - at least they dont kill people...

This is a joke. We are being encouraged by the government to stay active and healthy and the medical profession wants to ban a legitimate sport? kukkuk

Despite my advancing years I get up at 6am twice a month to spend the day on a shooting range, exercising mind and body and having a great social life.

Would they rather I sat on the sofa stuffing crisps in my gob and becoming yet another burden on the NHS?

The priority of this (and any) Govt. is to have a dependent and controllable population, and that is pretty much what they've got!

Conform : Consume : Obey

And I thought it was to protect private property and maintain law and order / national defence. Silly me.
