I recently bought a job-lot of air rifle bits off "the auction site". Mainly front & rear sights, but with a few other odds 'n sods thrown in. This included a moderator, on inspection I found that it has been proofed for 22rf.
Just so happens that I've got a slot for a 22 mod on my ticket. I've never filled this slot as my CZ452 22lr is pretty quiet without one! So, I have no intention of ever using the mod.
My question is this:-
Am I allowed to sell it for use on an air rifle?
Is there any restriction on me moving it on solely for air rifle use??

Re: Moderator question...
I have a similar scenario. I have an off ticket mod which was used on an air rifle. If I put this on my rimfire it will have to be listed on the cert. Does this then mean it is a section 1 item forever?
Sorry for the slight hijack bhodge but its in the same vein.

Re: Moderator question...
I am assuming you don't have the mod on your FAC? does it have a serial number ? if NO in which case proofed or not, as long as its "in the wild" it doesn't exist,in FAC terms, how could it?
how can you prove it is not a mod proofed by the factory but sold for both FAC and non-FAC use? now should you put it on a rimmie then different story, but on an airrifle ? wheres the crime?
(if it has got a serial number then if it has ever been on an FAC then I would expect it to be always treated as a controlled item in which case you have commited an offence by possessing a controlled item without the correct paperwork )

Re: Moderator question...
my on ticket mod has no name, serial or proof, I know it's a SAK but thats it. no one from the police has even looked at it.
When guns are outlawed, only Outlaws will have guns
Re: Moderator question...
It's not on my FAC.
The mod is proof marked, but has no makers name or serial number on it.
