Can anyone point me in the direction of how to go about making a booking to use an MoD Range please?
I'm just looking into alternatives to our jaunts to Bisley and want to find out about using an MoD ranges instead - Longmoor, Stoney Caste and Moody's Down come to mind. We've got several NRA-qualified RCO's.
Thanks

Re: Club use of MoD Ranges
I book MOD ranges for an East Anglian club so can speak with experience on this one.
Firstly you will need a licence from the MOD, via Landmarc who administer the process. The licence runs from 1st April for 12 months, is renewable and costs £100 each year. That figure may now be slightly higher as I couldn’t find this year’s invoice . In applying for the licence you will be required to submit your club’s NRA certificate of insurance, Home Office approval number and copies of each RCO’s current NRA RCO card.
THe MOD may choose, if they decide to issue a licence, to insert a number of conditions within it relating to minimum age limits, etc. There is no national consistency in the application of these conditions. It falls to the local TSO to determine.
You will need to contact your local booking cell to take further. If you contact Landmarc’s National Service Centre on 0800 0223334 they will be able to give you a local contact number.

Yes there are lists of ranges but they are produced on a regional basis. I will have a look this evening when I get home.
You could also contact Nic Couldrey at the NRA as he will have visited them all personally!
My clubs use Otmoor, Longmoor, Henley Park, Stoney Castle and Ash. All within a 40 minute drive for me razz
