Heard today that the MOD are no longer to allow civilian clubs to use military field firing ranges.

DIO have withdrawn the trace for 50 BMG, but nothing else.

Hope your contact has simply incorrectly interpreted the above.

No mistake......MOD are having traces redone (God knows why!) and will not commence work until 50 cal consultation is complete and outcomes known.

So NO calibres allowed until after that.

I've heard for .50cal but are you sure this covers all calibres?

The MoD press release I saw stated all calibre on Field Firing Ranges for civvie clubs until they had reassessed the risk post-consultation.

I tried finding it last night but for the life of me can't remember where I last saw it despite only being a couple of weeks ago!
