British Shooting Show 2018

#1 Post by Quarters »

Never been before but it's nearer to home this time so I've got a ticket.

I shoot rifles not shotguns, so how long do you think I could spend there 3 hours 5 hours?

Any thoughts on the day? My wife has helped me to understand that I don't need anything new so I'm not looking to buy.

If you have never been before i would say 5 hours maybe a bit more (but i shoot a bit of everything) there is always something that might make you think ,loads of accesory type stuff inc clothing etc and the 'event' type days or weekends .Apparently this one is going to be better
and i think slightly cheaper to be there for the traders ...
Food and drink is as you would expect not cheap so might be worth taking a snack .

Get there early and you'll be finished looking at all the rifle related stuff by lunchtime.

If you look at absolutely everything then you could spend five hours and more if you stop to watch the various displays and so on. I think you’ll find it a bit disappointing if you go expecting much for a rifle shooter though. It’s mostly shotguns, green clothing, and pointless tat that’s only vaguely related to shooting.
I go to a few shows a year and I nearly always come away wondering why I bothered....

First time I have been to one for a while, and I went this year. Think it took about 2 hours to walk round all of it.

Please feel free to drop by the Historical Breech Loading Small Arms Association stand. There should be a good display of various types on display.
We look forward to seeing you all!

Hi All
Thanks for your replies. It's good to know about tbe focus on shotguns; I did think that might be thecase.

I like looking at guns, including breech loaders, so go with an open mind and see what I find.
Cheers
