Bmlagb affiliate benifits?
What are the benefits of being an affiliated club of the bmlagb?
When someone says "it's not about the money" you know what? it probably is all about money!

Is it some sort of homosexual/transgender/ethnic/disabled nurse organisation?
If so this should be in GOM.

Re: Bmlagb affiliate benifits?
We as a club have been asked why we are not affiliated,so I was wondering if any stalwart fellows here could point out exactly what would be the benifits of affiliation?

Re: Bmlagb affiliate benifits?
Assuming you mean the MLAGB, we used to be affiliated but stopped about 3 or 4 years ago because we couldn't find any benefits.
(They still list us as an affiliated club on their website though!!)

Re: Bmlagb affiliate benifits?
The only benefit would be the warm fuzzy feeling from supporting Wedgnock shooting club.
They also support the BSSC which is supposed to be looking after shooters legislative and HO interests, if what we shooters have seen around that I doubt very much of its efficacy, no doubt we would be told that if it wasn't for them things would be a lot worse but as finding out exactly what it does other than attend meetings is rather difficult, However if your club is a member of an other "national" organisaton then you will already be supporting that august body. There may be some insurance cover but again no doubt your club will have that already in place. You will get listed as an Affiliated club on their web site and no doubt your club secretary will get a copy of their Journal, which is an excellent publication in the main.
So not really worth the £50.
I would ask those who are seeking your club to affiliate to explain the benefits of doing so, if they think it such a good idea they should be able to convince you as to why.
