A bit of a problem
https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/7667605?hl=en
If this continues I can see this becoming a problem for the shooting world.
One could say just go elsewhere however if hosting then becomes a problem for independent websites due to content then where do we as shooters go?
This morning Ovenpaa was watching a video by Ian McCollum who was saying that if not allowed on youtube anymore he had plans for going forward.
I am crossing my fingers for a viable solution.

Re: A bit of a problem
A lot of the youtube gun channels seem to be going here:
https://www.full30.com/
Personally I stopped using youtube ages ago but have looked at the odd thing on full30 and it seems OK.

Not sure if its a joke but I heard online that some US gun bloggers were now publishing their shooting videos via a porn website !
Re: A bit of a problem
I have said this before..............what we need is a TV programme / series showing a shooting comp. With modern remote cameras / aerial drones and split screen formats there is no reason why we cannot have a watchable programme - especially with dynamic matches such as CSR or Speed Steels.
Get the idea into the mainstream that shooting is a SPORT and not just crime being reported on the news. If we can get the public seeing more sport than crime, we stand a chance.
I will do it ( even if it makes a loss ) if I ever have a lottery win. In the meantime, we have to convince some TV company to take a punt.
Looking at the biathalon on TV during the Winter Olympics I found it quite exciting watching the shooter and target on split screen etc

Well like any video hosting site their money is made on adverts etc so increasing the traffic makes sense.

Re: A bit of a problem
Yes, Inrange TV are already hosted on PornHub which will work as a temporary solution, but I don't think that my employer would be happy if I were on that website during my lunch break!
It's absolutely disgusting that a legal sport/hobby is being blocked. YouTube have stated that even videos showing the manufacturing of ammunition will be banned, so there goes handloading.
Reddit, not that I use it, have also blocked a lot of shooting sub forums following a similar way of thinking, with many people outraged. To those who are uninformed, Reddit is a mass forum which features many sub forums (called sub-Reddit's) for any type of discussion. You can have firearms discussion, music, carpentry, and craft beers. A lot of these sub-Reddit's have been deleted without question due to new rules they have rolled out.
It's sad to think that this is effectively net-Neutrality...

Re: A bit of a problem
On a US forum someone spoke about how folks dob in youtube videos.
It was suggested that if one video has 3 or more complaints YT will look at a ban.
This led onto - why not root out and complain about certain videos - may be anti 2nd amendment or anti gun videos.

Re: A bit of a problem
Ian McCollum is also on full30, could be that is his back up plan.
Maybe the future for forums such as this is to host it on a server at home, if we can get a internet connection despite the content
