NRA re-issue of SCC cards
Does anyone know if the new batch of NRA SCC cards have started to be issued yet, ours went in via the club back in July.
Re: NRA re-issue of SCC cards
Yes, I contacted them on Tues about getting my card, received it Saturday

Was your application direct to the NRA or through a club?

Re: NRA re-issue of SCC cards
Our club has been chasing these for some time now. We're told that the NRA didn't have the software in place to start issuing these until late October and now, due to the backlog, needs to issue over 200 a day before the end of the year. The MoD are adamant that without new cards, no shooting will be permitted on their ranges.

In my opinion the NRA have bitten of more than they can chew with this little exercise. The software thing doesn't hold water. They used a drop box. I am interested to see how this pans out.

It is not their choice to do this, I would think they could well do without the extra work as well.Alpha1 wrote:In my opinion the NRA have bitten of more than they can chew with this little exercise. Some clubs were possibly just signing shooters off for everything without any observation or test, this can still happen with the club just telling the NRA what they like but it does focus the club's attention on testing etc. and give a paper trail to the process.
