If you think you are a person of some importance, try ordering someone else's dog around.

And scuba diving shops, and bike shops (both types).
In fact pretty much every hobby.

The Memsaab takes very little interest in the expense of my sport just so long as I enjoy it and leave her in peace at weekends whenever possible.

Thankfully no requirement to amend any invoice here but with last new purchase did make a point of leaving to dispose of outgoing item and returning with an empty slip and a slightly forlorn look - clearly hiding my intense excitement at the imminent arrival of a shiny new Uberti 1873 which did in fact “land” quite by chance I might add (!) when I had a day off and she was naturally at work - they come in quite big boxes !!

Since this virus and being furloughed I did say I would be cleaning all my guns to fill time - her working from home she was glad I would be out of her way and doing something outside - the key thing with such a project is to spread it out over a few days or weeks so the actual number is not readily tracked - and I believe I got away with it !

To be honest she's pretty switched on to how much they are all worth, along with all the extras and accessories just in case anything was to happen to me.

I have bought rifles, shotguns and sights in the past and for most of them I have two receipts, all from dealers .Having said that I have never been asked to produce the evidence to how much I have paid, so far!

cheers

It is a toss up which of the two of us buys the most guns so it does not really matter. I have just acquired a Remington Model 11, to counter that, she recently ended up with a .22WMR CZ after it came in. I did a swap for 1920 Lithgow recently, however I did build the M54S-430 for her so things balanced out. I am sure I have missed a few along the way this year. What I can say is the Viking usually does the negotiating when it comes to prices so she knows exactly what is paid out.
