BASC Legal Insurance.

#1 Post by MistAgain »

I see the BASC has cancelled its legal expenses insurance .

They claim around 150 members a year make a claim , but only around half have their cases taken up .
This costs the BASC almost 1 million pounds .

So they claim its not a product that is in the best interest of its members .

Insurance is all about being there when it is needed, another failed organisation shafting shooters and legal gun owners.

The numbers dont stack up, they recon it costs £1m in premium but only 150 members claim and only 75 actually use it? Thats BS.

Unfortunately me also.

It's very easy to criticise or break things and much much harder to build anything especially an effective organisation, but I have come to the firm conclusion that shooters are not being well served by any of the shooting associations. The decision by BASC to show the white flag and surrender absolutely beggars belief.

I had my renewal through recently and that is included within it.

Where have you seen the information?

And on the other part of te website: https://basc.org.uk/join-basc/basc-members-insurance/

They could technically be forced to provide cover for any member who has renewed up until 30th June as it was part of te contact at that time.
