Why are we being punished?
Two incidents today which I find worrying.
Paypal has after 16 years told a UK supplier of e-liquid to find another payment gateway.
Not the first time, won't be the last - a well known UK supplier of gun related items has been told by their bank to feck off. Find another bank.
Been trading for years.
I think it is disgusting what is going on.
Especially now, in the middle of a pandemic.
Why has it become like this and who will fight our corner?

Sadly the world is being filled with pandering cockwombles who are worried about upsetting the snowflakes who don't agree with or understand someone else's point of view, beliefs, hobbies etc. It's easier to demonise and alienate us in the minority by inflicting this type of punitive action.

Yeah, like the footballers who took a knee before the match and the spectators boo'ed. Just heard it on the radio.
So now the spectators are labelled racists, in my book more likely that they came to watch a football match and not something political.

Sadly the GTA looks a bit toothless in the face of a banking corporation.
Like most corporations they can trample the little people, who are not part of the protected species, without fear of repercussions.

Re: Why are we being punished?
I have two ongoing payment disputes with paypal the first one has been running for months and is still not resolved. The second payment is still pending after several weeks of haggling with them and getting no were.
It's my money why can't I pay it to whoever I want.
Both transactions were with shooting types. The second payment was to Fullbore UK for next year's forum support they have still not released it. I have given up trying to find out why.
Last year I spent 7 months trying to change our Clubs old fashion bank account to an online bank account so we could pay bills electronically. After several visits to the Branch three constitution changes, it still has not happened. The only way we can pay anybody is by check. We can not check balances unless we go into a branch or wait for a paper statement. Why because we are a shooting Club and I am convinced they do it on purpose.
I went into the Halifax and opened a joint online bank account for me and the wife it took ten minutes and they paid me for opening it.
I despair I really do.

Alpha ... you have done the right thing by taking your business where it is most appreciated. The money in my account is MY money and if the people looking after it won't do what I want (within reason), then I'll move it to some other place where they will. Saying that, I'm happy with the service to date.

Re: Why are we being punished?
When you put your money into a bank it is no longer yours it belongs to the bank and they then extend you credit to that amount.
The bottom line is banks are bastards, rather than being a tool to help us live our lives money is now and end in itself and once the world governments said that banks were too big to fail they became officially untouchable and unaccountable.
The fecking Medici's have a lot to answer for.
Me, I do cash and cheques and feck their more corrupt electronic banking. It can limit certain things but I have found is no bad thing as for me less of this shite world in my life adds more to my quality of living.

Re: Why are we being punished?
Combination of ignorance and arrogance. We are a very misunderstood minority.
Without doubt the majority of the population - if pushed - would be anti gun.
Usual comments such as "cant understand why anyone wants a gun" " they arent needed in a civilized society" you know the sort of thing.
Baseless ignorant comments.
The trouble is these eejits work in banks and think they are saving the world from nasty gun owners.
So much easier for them to have a discrete ban rather than being involved and taking some time and trouble to engage.

It beggars belief that the banks are just shutting the door.
Imagine what benefit the banks could get out of engaging. The "TSB Youth Shooting Club", all these youngsters with bank accounts who will or do earn good money, shooting for the Bank's shooting club, telling friends and family about it.So much easier for them to have a discrete ban rather than being involved and taking some time and trouble to engage.
