ggg is cheap surplus and made 2014 so probably the best surplus you can get otherwise the hornaday tap uses the Amax bullet so you cant go wrong or just get there match ammo

I'm not sure GGG is "cheap" surplus, I was quoted £59x100 by ammozone at Bisley! MEN is as far as I know still £45x100 at ITL shooting and is fine out to 600.

The MEN has just sold out and there is no more :( if you are at the show then Gunshop Barnet have GGG at £50/1000

I've yet to find a rifle that won't shoot tap extremely well , if it doesn't there is usually something wrong with the rifle/scope combo , it's easily duplicated as well when you start reloading?

You could try some form of privi? It's fairly cheap and if a rifle likes it is pretty accurate

Sadly it is often a case of the suppliers charging what they think the market will stand. There are several different makes available including MEN however it needs to be purchased in reasonable quantities to make it economical.

If you are only shooting out to 200yds any of the Privi, or GGG that the NRA sell will be perfectly adequate and they have lots of it in stock.

you should try some of my mates 7.62 x 54 R from the 50s , well low to no recoil since they never went off or at least had a delay of 3 seconds

I had a couple split on me as well Ken. Like Gaz says though, otherwise fine. MEN worked ok through my oldie, as does RG if you can get it.
