My wife is so happy to see the back of me when I go shooting that she would probably pay for it . Then again a Mosin and some 7,62x54 or some 22 hardly break the bank in the UK . Going abroad also keeps my pistol shooting costs down.

The above is a joke, probably being from a different generation to a few on here me and my wife have separate accounts and keep our money to ourselves. We have a joint account that all the bills etc are paid from and the rest of our money is for us to do with as we please. I don't question her on the countless pairs of shoes and handbags she buys, she doesn't question me on the stuff I blow my money on

This works for us too. My wife doesn't know what rifles and scopes cost but she is happy to see the big smile on my face when I come home with a top score.

Here's a tip that worked for me many years ago. During the week after our second child was born I bought my first PC. It was only a 286 with a 10MB hard drive and monochrome monitor but it cost me a grand . I brought it home, carried the boxes upstairs and set it up on a desk in our bedroom. Same here, monthly payment for mortgage, bills and food etc go into a joint account and we each have our own personal accounts.The other halfs account is for much the same, hair/nails/shoes/handbags etc etc.
