Absolutely, but how to do it before the
UK legislation is proposed is the difficult part. Constant bombardment with emails, e-petitions and even written letters have a diminishing return, especially when 'they' use the dodgy tactic of half way through the process seemingly understanding what we were trying to say about the futility of the proposals, agreeing they were 'flawed' (THEIR description) - thus allowing the politicians to say "we've heard you and have changed things", but then at the last minute change almost everything back to original unworkable, asinine restrictions
It would also be helpful if those most likely to be impacted 'lead the charge' and give other firearms owners an idea of how potential legislation would harm their section of gun ownership. If, for example, practical shooters couldn't be bothered to examine, mull over and come up with possible impact to their niche, advertise that to other shooters and make suggestions of how to approach MP's etc then I wouldn't expect say, bench rest shooters to do it for them.
